No, there is not rent control in South San Francisco or the County of San Mateo, but you can call either La Raza Centro Legal (415) 575-3500 or San Mateo County Legal Aid (800) 381-8898 regarding questions or problems you may have on legal housing issues.
La Raza has a tenant/landlord mediation program and can assist tenants with habitability problems. Project Sentinel (415) 468-7464 provides counseling and investigation of fair housing discrimination.
